Have Your Say: Let’s make a difference

Anwar Parveen, Islamabad

All of us as a nation have been continuously confused by the allegations of corruption, bad governance and vices in our political and social system. The issue has been projected in a way that it is like a trauma which paralyzes the whole thinking process. Today’s world is not a fantasy any more where we can hide and dream about fulfilling our wishes. Today, it’s a practical world. We hear, see and act. Even if there is a slight delay, the moment is just gone and the damage is done. The changing situations and scenarios are also making us aware to look around and be proactive and become aware of our existence, importance and responsibility to do something which can bring a positive change. We as individuals and as a nation can make a lot of difference through self awareness, self confidence and action. Simple acts of punctuality, doing our work with dedication, not wasting time and thinking about work only at out work places can bring a revolution. Small actions have bigger impacts and this is what is needed today. We as a nation have to protect not only our borders but our ideology and our thinking from the forces causing insinuation and trying to influence our minds negatively. Guarding the minds of our people is the best defence today. Each one of us has the potential to bring a change. Let’s do it. No meetings discussions show offs, or the rhetoric. A simple decision to be made on the Defence Day that as true Pakistani’s we have to respect, care and defend our country.
